Which project you did ?

Design and build a marble run.  (don’t have marbles?  What else could you use?)

I've decided that this week I'm going to do the marble run, because I really like the idea.

I never thought it would be so much work, I worked a total of 5 hours on it.

My first work step was that i thought about where i want to have the marble run. This was immediately followed by, what should it look like, what do I need to build it? I searched the whole house for some objects that I could maybe build in. I also searched the internet for inspiration, but did not really find anything, because my marble run should look different and not JUST cardboard rolls.

When I was looking for all my things together, I noticed that I don't have a marble and we don't have any either. So I was thinking and then I realized that I can just take a bigger pearl. That was a problem again, because the pearl is of course much lighter than a marble and therefore can take much higher speed. But in the end everything worked great and I was very proud.

What you learned by doing it ?

To have Patience!

Many things did not work out right away. Many things fell over and broke. But I also learned that I actually really enjoyed it. I wanted everything to be as perfect as possible and that's why I spent so much time working on it.

What went well ?

I really had a lot of ideas what i could use for the marble run and I quickly had it all together. I also had a plan how it should look best in the end and knew approximately how I wanted to build everything together. In the end everything went really well.

What didn’t go so well ?

But some things didn't work out at first. Although I had a plan, but it was sometimes difficult to put it together. Many things fell over or the marble/pearl was too fast and fell out. All the time I had to test it if it worked and if it didn't work I had to change my mind and rebuild it. build - test - rebuild
